As part of the organization’s financial and non-financial disclosure, organizations increasingly need to demonstrate that their GHG statement and GHG reporting is comprehensive, complete, correct, and consistent. Conducting a verification and validation of an organization’s GHG statement and GHG report, among other things, are part of ensuring this. Some supply chains and regulators have even begun asking that these statements be verified and validated by accredited bodies.
You’ll gain an understanding of the principles and processes involved in conducting verification and validation of GHG statements and GHG reports, and learn how to design a framework to measure and report on your organization’s GHG emissions.

Prior knowledge and learning
Delegates should complete the ISO 14064-1 requirements training or have equivalent knowledge and skills in quantifying GHG emissions before attending this training.
Delegates with less energy and/or environmental background may find attending the Carbon Neutrality Management Planning training beneficial.
It will also be useful for delegates to be aware of the relevant standards before attending the course.

Delegates completing the course will be issued an attendance certificate. By taking and passing the optional end-of-course exam, delegates will be issued a further certificate of achievement.
This course is part of the Greenhouse Gas Practitioner qualification which covers ISO 14064-1 requirements training course, the Carbon Neutrality Management Planning training course, and the ISO 14064-3 Greenhouse gas verification and validation (this course).
The Greenhouse Gas Practitioner will be a pre-requisite for the Greenhouse Gas Professional qualification which covers ISO 14067 (Carbon Footprint of Products) and ISO 14068-1 (Carbon Neutrality).
