Human Service Standards (HSS) Victoria
In Victoria, organisations funded by the Department of Health and Human Services and department managed services are required to comply with the Human Services Standards (HSS). The HSS are a set of quality standards comprising 4 elements:
- Empowerment
- Access and engagement
- Wellbeing
- Participation
BSI is accredited to provide certification to the HSS for organisations funded by the Department of Health and Human Services or department managed services. BSI has a team of experienced auditors with knowledge of human services sectors to provide audits to the HSS.
In conjunction with the HSS, funded organisations in Victoria are also required to undertake a review of their management system. This is achieved through certification to an additional recognised standard. BSI is able to deliver both the HSS and ISO9001:2015 or HSS and NSDS in accordance with the Department’s requirements.
