BSI is accredited by JAS-ANZ to certify the National Standards for Disability Services (NSDS) for disability employment services. These standards are fundamental for assessing and certifying government-contracted services, including those under the New Specialist Disability Employment Program, National Panel of Assessors (NPA), and the National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP). Our team of NSDS auditors and Consumer Technical Experts (CTEs) at BSI possess extensive knowledge of the disability employment sector, quality, and risk management, along with significant experience in assessing providers against these standards.

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) uses the External Systems Assurance Framework (ESAF) and Right Fit for Risk (RFFR) to assess and accredit Providers’ Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). ESAF requires compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and ISO 27001. RFFR accredits Provider and Third Party Employment and Skills (TPES) systems using a risk-based approach. Providers must implement an ISMS aligned with ISO 27001 and the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM). Accreditation includes milestones to improve cyber security, with transition to ISO 27001:2022 required by 1 November 2025.

Who can use Workforce Australia? Anyone looking to find, keep, change, or create a job; people on income support and with mutual obligations; people with a disability, injury, or health condition, First Nations people and Veterans.

The ACIS Attendant Care Standard, representing the ‘Australian Community Industry Standard,’ is a nationally acknowledged quality management framework tailored for providers of attendant care services. It ensures the delivery of high-quality, personalized care to individuals with disabilities or acquired injuries within the community.

Administered by the Australian Community Industry Alliance (ACIA), this JAS-ANZ endorsed Certification Scheme emphasizes critical areas such as service user rights, organizational management, service provision, and the work environment to uphold best practices in the sector.

Providers can achieve ACIS certification by demonstrating compliance with the national standard through an audit process.
