    Loop Logistics helps its customers eliminate supply chain inefficiencies and grow margins through a range of transport and logistics services.

    The fast-growing Northampton-based firm offers solutions ranging from same-day delivery to warehousing and packing. Formed in 2000 as Instant Despatch Services, it has built a loyal customer base in the East Midlands and now plans further expansion.

    The Challenge

    To fulfil customers' requirements, Loop Logistics needed to demonstrate best practice as a reputable storage and distribution partner.

    In 2022, the company opened a new, 60,000sq ft, state-of-the-art warehousing facility. It was determined to grow through close partnership with its customers, who include leading suppliers of food, drink, consumer goods and retail packaging.

    That meant moving customers' products quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively, enhancing their operations and quality of service.

    It also needed to demonstrate its reliabilty and sound food safety practices to major customers and prospects operating rigorous supply chain risk management procedures.

     

    The Solution

    Ensuring best practice in food and consumer product delivery

    Certification to the Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standard (BRCGS) for Storage and Distribution shows Loop Logistics' commitment to food supply chain quality and safety.

    The company saw the advantages of achieving certification to Issue 4 of the BRCGS Storage and Distribution Standard. Launched in 2020, the standard is specifically designed for logistics operations dealing with food, packaging and consumer products.

    Compliance with it ensures the quality and safety of products during their storage and distribution throughout the supply chain. In 2023, BSI awarded Loop Logistics 'AA' in its first certification assessment, the highest grade it could achieve – a level that it has since maintained.
