Crown Oil is a national fuel and lubricants supplier serving UK businesses and homes for over 75 years. They are committed to implementing effective carbon-reducing solutions at every level of business whilst helping their customers to do the same.
Instead of waiting for mandatory environmental changes, Crown Oil is pioneering change by getting ahead of the curve. To do this, they have looked beyond carbon neutrality to actively reduce their environmental impact at every level of the organisation and align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
To embed sustainability company-wide, they’ve delivered 800+ hours of staff training, formed a sustainability team of senior managers and cross-team volunteers, and keep all staff informed of sustainability progress.
BSI’s verification provides Crown Oil with concrete confidence of the data accuracy when promoting its green credentials to customers, and prove they are set to be net zero for scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 and scope 3 by 2050. The fossil fuel industry faces higher scrutiny than most, and having its targets and emissions monitored externally shows commitment, accountability and transparency. All employees are trained on environmental issues to establish a full, cohesive team effort in reducing carbon footprint and ensures annual improvements are made.
Crown Oil has put the right frameworks in place to achieve credible net zero success across the organization.
