Southern Cross Providers

As a Designated Auditing Agency BSI has been approved by Southern Cross Health Society to audit and certify their affiliated providers to either:

• NZS 8164:2005 Day Stay Surgery and Procedures Sector Standard
• NZS 8165:2005 Rooms / Office Based Surgery and Procedures Sector Standard

This enables Southern Cross to provide assurance that their contracted providers are delivering better value healthcare in meeting recognized standards for safety and quality.

This New Zealand Standard is presented in six sections:

1. Consumer / Patient Focused Service
2. Organizational Management (8164) / or Facility Management (8165)
3. Pre-entry to Service
4. Service delivery
5. Managing service delivery
6. Safe and appropriate environment
