Develop an understanding of the key terms, definitions and requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018 and how the standard can help your organization to quantify its greenhouse gas emissions that is relevant, complete, consistent, accurate and transparent.

It is an issue that will increasingly affect businesses and people, having impacts on resource availability, economic activity and human well-being. Understanding the principles of measuring and reporting your greenhouse gases (GHG) enables you to be better informed on how to mitigate them.
You’ll gain an understanding of the principles of GHG reporting and learn how to design a framework to measure and report on your organization’s GHG emissions. We’ll also touch on the quality management of the data and your responsibilities in terms of verification.

Anyone involved in the design, development, management and reporting of their organization’s GHG emissions and removals.
The training is designed from the perspective of organizations implementing them in their processes. External consultants and product/service providers can also gain value from the training.
Delegates completing the course will be issued an attendance certificate. By taking and passing the optional end-of-course exam, delegates will be issued a further certificate of achievement.
This course is part of the Greenhouse Gas Practitioner qualification which covers ISO 14064-1 (this course), the Carbon Management Planning training course, and ISO 14064-3 Greenhouse gas verification and validation training course.
The Greenhouse Gas Practitioner will be a pre-requisite for the Greenhouse Gas Professional qualification which covers ISO 14067 (Carbon Footprint of Products) and ISO 14068-1 (Carbon Neutrality).
Upon successful completion, you’ll be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate.
There are no formal prerequisites.
It will be useful for delegates to pre-read the standard before attending the course. A basic understanding of global warming issues would be helpful.
